ULE ALLIANCE PROMOTION ACTIVITIES: SEPTEMBER 2015 – MAY 2016
ULE Alliance Promotion Activities: September 2015 – May 2016
The ULE Alliance continues its journey towards establishing the ULE technology as one of the leading wireless technologies for smart homes and buildings worldwide. ULE marketing and promotion activities include presenting the ULE technology in conferences and trade shows worldwide.
We returned from the 2015 summer vacation into a very busy period of promotion of ULE. The ULE Alliance is invited to appear in many conferences and we take these opportunities to spread the great message of the ULE technology worldwide. Judging from the reactions we’re receiving, the message is well received.
Here’s the recap of the activities since September 2015:
• IFA, Berlin, 6-9 of September: The ULE Alliance hosted a large booth, with 8 members presenting their products: Binatone, Crow, Dialog Semiconductor, DSP Group, Gigaset, Intel (Lantiq), Panasonic and VTech. The showcase of a large number of devices was evidence of the great progress that ULE Alliance members are making. At the ULE Alliance stand we presented a joint demo with the AllSeen Alliance, and this drew strong interest. A similar demo was presented at the AllSeen Alliance stand.
• M2M Innovation World, Marseille, 15-17 of September: Presentation about the ULE technology and the ULE Alliance.
• Broadband World Forum, London, 18-20 of October: ULE Alliance was present at the booth of the DECT Forum.
• AllSeen Alliance Summit, Seattle, 18-21 of October: The ULE Alliance took part in a panel discussion about standards and interoperability. The ULE technology sparked interest among AllSeen Alliance members – many of them leading global brands.
• Connections Europe, Amsterdam, 10-11 of November: ULE Alliance participated with a demo table and took part in a panel discussion about interoperability and standardization.
• Wireless Congress, Munich, 17-18 of November: ULE Alliance had an extensive presence at this event: keynote presentation, participation in a panel and a half-day technical seminar about ULE. The seminar consisted of a series of presentations: ULE Technology and Alliance overview, Technical aspects of ULE, Experience of manufacturers of ULE devices, ULE chipsets and development tools.
ULE Alliance team members who presented at the seminar: Avi Barel – ULE Alliance, Jochen Kilian - DSPG and UA Technical Working Group chair, Jens T. Petersen – RTX, Marco van de Logt – Gigaset, Marius Bouman – Dialog Semiconductor, Wolfgang John – Intel
• Workshop on Standardization and Open Source, ETSI: ULE Alliance participated in the panel discussion about experiences with open source vs. standards
• ETSI OneM2M workshop, December 9-11, ETSI: A presentation about ULE and participation in a panel discussion about standardization and cooperation.
• CES, Las Vegas, Nevada, January 6-9: The ULE Alliance hosted a 600sq feet (approximately 60m2) booth in a central location at Sands Expo. Seven ULE Alliance members sponsored the booth and participated in the event: Crow, Dialog Semiconductor, DSP Group, Gigaset, Intel, Turkcell and VTech. In addition, ULE was presented on the booths of the AllSeen Alliance, OCF (formerly OIC) and the ULE Alliance member company’s booths and private suites, such as: DSP Group, Panasonic & VTech.
With over 10 journalist and analyst interviews and over 60 meetings it was indeed a very busy event.
• Connections summit at CES, Las Vegas, Nevada, January 7: This is a well-attended event by Parks Associates. The ULE Alliance participated in the panel discussion about the standardization and interoperability challenges in IoT. This was a good opportunity to talk about advantages of the ULE in front of a large audience.
• Embedded World Conference and Exhibition, Nuremberg, February 23-25: The ULE Alliance gave a presentation about ULE Technology, the ULE Alliance and the interoperability challenges in IoT.
• HGI meeting, Venice, Italy, March 8-9: The ULE Alliance gave a presentation on the latest developments in ULE. The ULE Alliance was represented by Wolfgang John of Intel, the ULE Alliance board member.
• ETSI Event on "IoT in the Smart Home": ULE was present in two sessions: a technical introduction of ULE and a presentation about the latest developments in the ULE. The ULE Alliance was represented by Daniel Hartnett, the Business Development Director at the DECT Forum.
