These Enterprise DECT applications can be found in hospitals, e-health,  hospitality, large offices, call centres, conference rooms, and in applications serving large oudoor gatherings like stadia, public marches, demonstrations and meetings for the purpose of staff and security communications. Today, an increasing number of DECT Forum member companies are using DECT for professional products and services such as unified communications, conferencing equipment, wireless microphones, headsets, intercom, ground staff to air staff communications and a host of further applications.

DECT Enterprise Solutions

The migration of professional users to DECT has been enabled by a technology that never stands still, transforming to adapt to the needs of its user and developer base and offering the flexibility for manufacturers to get the best out of the technology and the radio spectrum associated with it. For enterprise, a key element has been increasing the numbers of concurrent connections on a given base station. This density improvement along with excellent voice quality allows enterprise companies to offer highly reliable, high quality solutions at good economies of scale.

With the latest enhancement to the DECT standard, DECT Evolution, enterprise companies will be able to offer improved voice and audio quality based on the LC3 Codec, as well as significantly lower latency for use in industrial and other applications.
